A U tube PWR NPP Steam Generator (SG) false water level phenomenon is researched in this paper. Lumped parameter method was employed to establish the SG thermo-hydraulic model. To simulate the false level phenomenon of SG, a fossil electricity generation plant boiler steam pocket model technique was applied by adding a non-linear equation into the original model. Furthermore, a set of static calculation and dynamic calculation in typical plant transient condition were done. And related preliminary validation was also carried out. It is indicated that the model established in this paper is able to simulate the false level phenomenon of SG with proper accuracy. And it will be helpful for future design and related analysis work.
