Abstract
The subject of this investigation is the development of an accurate simulation of a truck impacting a G4 (1S) strong-post w-beam guardrail. The objective of the study is to provide a check and an additional measures of reliance of the results from the crash tests and identify critical roadside components for a crashworthy design. Identification of critical parameters will be used for design improvement of the G4 (1S) system for truck roll-over.
